Enjoyed our sta a lot! The hote is good combination of moderate price for excellent service. Will definately come there again.
It takes quite a bit of time and effort to reach the place if travelling from Rovaniemi (there's no direct bus to Yullas and flighs are mostly from Helsinki). Hence the best and qickest means of transpot is to rent a car.

The Nordic Apartment was very spacious & modern. All kitchen appliances/cooking utensils were supplied. Apartment close to the Gondola and other restuarants and shops, although a bit of a difficult walk to/from reception in the slippery snow. The TV and DVD player in the apartment were fantastic to spend the night in. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always willing to help, especially working out buses to get to other villages and enquiring and booking taxis. They also very kindly printed some important information as there was no access to a printer.
Transporting luggage was difficult, the only option they could provide was a sledge to transport luggage to/from the rooms which was difficult in the snow. Someone to help with luggage or a snowmobile to drop off the luggage would have been much easier.

Beautiful rooms, shame about the food!
I recently stayed at Lapland Hotels and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, spacious, and clean. I especially loved the cozy sauna in my room, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The hotel is nestled in a great spot with breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
I have to admit that the food at the hotel's restaurant left much to be desired. When we asked for more food, we were told that the restaurant was closing soon and nothing else would be replenished.

As a centre for skiing it was yery good. The slopes were ideal for beginners and expercienced skiiers. A long way to go but worth it as it was not too busy. With the hotel adjacent to the slops made easy. The food at the hotel was good and varied for the week but any longer it would become a bit monotonous. Over all good

Convenient location for transportation, with bus stop and ski bus nearby. Good facilities, including baggage storage. Excellent breakfast and the option to visit a pool daily. Polite and helpful staff.

Excelent location just next to slopes. Clean and comfortable.
Very nasty breakfast. There was plenty of food, but no taste! Just 8 TV channels, no one of them international, in 21st century is not enough.

We loved the chalet rooms - ideal for a family - and the ice bar!
The buffet was only just a buffet - only two choices, and often cold. the pool was a little bit too cold for comfort, and the hot tubs were tepid tubs. Tourist information was hard to come by - they could market things (e.g. the ice bar) a lot better.

Nordic appartments at Yllas Saaga are very spacious contemporary self- catering well equipped comfortable units. The ski facilities of Yllas are very close (5 min. Walk ) .The Yllas Saaga spa is a good facility. .
The choice of eating out is limited The Saaga hotel spa is not included in the "nordic appartment" price . The appt. Sauna did not work .

Nordic apartment was excellent choice. High quality with reasonable prize and good location. Highly recommended.
Sound proof would have been better. Nowadays sound proof can be better in modern new buildings like these Ylläs Chatlets.

The hotel is located in a great spot on the mountain, very close to the slopes and with cross-country trails nearby. The buffet food was good with some decent options, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The spa area was well-maintained and relaxing.
That our room didn't have a fridge or kettle, which made it a bit inconvenient. , the drying cabinet in the room was smaller than expected and located in an awkward spot.

quite new hotel, spa is good. Front desk not polite as it should.
Nice view to desert or to mountain.

We stayed at the Nordic Apartment and were very impressed by it. It was so clean it felt like we were the first guests to stay there. Finnish design from candleholders to cutlery. Everything worked beautifully, and it was great to have our own sauna. We prepared our own breakfasts so cannot rate the hotel general breakfast.

If you're looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle, this hotel in the middle of a winter wonderland is perfect. There are other eating options nearby and it's close to ski slopes. the clean and well-equipped apartments offered a sauna and a drying closet. the breakfast buffet is amazing.
Sadly, the small kids' playroom might cause problems if it's crowded.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
